UFI Communications Manager
Many of our exhibition colleagues are in Hamburg, Germany this week attending the UFI Open Seminar in Europe and the UFI Focus Meeting on Sustainable Development. Thanks to the internet, participation is open to all whether you are in Hamburg or not. We’ve come from 39 countries and as far away as Taiwan and Argentina.
The conferences opened on June 18 and will end on the 21. We’ve been looking at new marketing options provided through augmented reality, updates on the current state of the economy and the exhibition industry and the announcement of the creation of the European Exhibition Industry Alliance (EIAA). Today’s sessions will range from a look at pricing alternatives to qualifications for becoming a successful business facilitator. Thursday’s Focus Meeting on Sustainable Development will provide real case studies on how our industry is meeting the challenges of sustainability.
It’s exciting when so many people become engaged with the various UFI activities. And UFI will be making the valuable content of its meetings available to everyone through its new UFI Education Centre which you can also check out now at http://www.ufi.org/edcentre.
And if you haven’t made it to Hamburg yet, join us on Twitter and discover #ufihamburg.
Sorry, though, you’ll have missed out on last night’s networking dinner at the Hagenback Zoo. For that you had to be there for real!
